Welcome to the online home of Cleeve Lawn Tennis Club

We pride ourselves on being a friendly and welcoming club to any player of any standard of any age.

Although we are a small club, we have excellent facilities. Our two courts have been recently re-surfaced and our floodlights upgraded. Our pavilion is fully furnished with all the necessary facilities and being in the middle of the village's King George V Playing Field, means we have plenty of space and a beautiful outlook. With no immediate neighbours, we do not have any limits on the use of our floodlights, so play can continue into the long dark winter nights.

We regularly organise tournaments and have a couple of social sessions per week. For a small club we also provide a range of league play opportunities – though we would particularly like to increase the number of our lady players, to allow us to enter more teams. We play in both the summer and winter leagues – so competitive play is available all the year round.

We also organise a range of varied social events – BBQs, quizzes, meals and week-ends away. So we offer something for everyone. You can join in as much or as little as you want!

For any new players or players feeling a bit rusty, we do have the services of a qualified LTA coach who offers both adult and junior coaching on a weekly basis.

We offer fair rates for players of all ages – and it covers everything. No extra charges for floodlights or balls.

We also encourage new potential members to join us for a few club sessions before deciding to join – so feel free to come along on a Wednesday night from 7.15 and give us a try.

The surface is called "Matchplay II" and is a sand dressed, outdoor carpet. It was chosen mainly because it provided a consistent bounce of medium pace, was easy on players' joints and was playable in all weathers.
